We are always seeking courageous survivors who are willing to share their stories. Your voice matters—your experience could be the one that compels someone to think twice before driving distracted. Stories grounded in truth and vulnerability have the power to move people in ways that statistics alone cannot.
For too long, the reality of distracted driving has been softened, when in fact it demands our full attention and collective action. It’s time to speak honestly, to confront this crisis head-on, and to elevate the voices of those who have lived through its devastating impact.
If you are located anywhere in the United States and would like to share your story, we invite you to email us. Your story will be shared in your own words, with full credit given. Including a photo is optional—your voice is what matters most.
Together, we can drive change—one story at a time.
Your Story Matters. Their Life Matters.
Surviving a distracted driving crash is nothing short of a miracle—but sadly, not everyone is given that chance. Far too many lives have been tragically cut short, leaving behind grieving families and communities forever changed.
If you have lost a loved one—whether family or friend—to distracted driving, your story holds profound meaning. Their life, their memory, and the impact of their loss deserve to be acknowledged and honored.
When you're ready, we’re here to help you share their story. Your voice can raise awareness, inspire change, and remind others of what’s truly at stake every time someone chooses to drive distracted.
Because every life lost is more than a statistic—it’s a name, a face, a future that mattered.
As we continue to build and share our message, we strive to approach the issue of distracted driving with fairness, empathy, and a well-rounded perspective. This crisis affects individuals on all sides—those who have lost their lives, the survivors living with trauma, and yes, even those who were responsible for the accident.
We recently came across a young man who, years ago, caused a fatal crash due to distracted driving and excessive speed. Today, he has chosen to dedicate his life to speaking out—sharing his experience, the weight of his remorse, and the lifelong impact of taking a life. His story is a powerful reminder that accountability and growth can coexist with tragedy.
Our mission is not only to raise awareness and advocate for stronger laws but also to foster understanding. We recognize that, in some cases, the individuals who caused these crashes never intended harm—it was a tragic, life-altering accident. That doesn’t erase the pain, but it adds an important layer to the conversation about prevention, responsibility, and healing.
If this is your story—if you’ve had time to reflect, heal, and are ready to share your experience—we welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Your voice may help others think differently, drive more mindfully, and understand the true weight of distracted driving from a deeply human perspective.
Our organization holds deep respect and gratitude for the first responders who serve our communities with unwavering courage and compassion. As a mother, I’ve come to understand—especially since Addi’s accident—just how deeply these professionals are affected by the calls they respond to. Behind their strength are stories, emotions, and experiences that often go unspoken.
We recognize that the impact of a single call can last a lifetime. The weight of what first responders witness, carry, and sometimes silently endure deserves acknowledgment, empathy, and space to be shared.
If you are a first responder—anywhere in the United States—and feel ready to share your thoughts, reflections, or personal story, we would be honored to listen and help amplify your voice. Your perspective is a vital part of the conversation surrounding distracted driving, trauma, and healing.
You are not alone, and your experience matters.
